| 7 December 2018 | Routine | On December 7, 2018, the US flagged tug KAREN ANDRIE was underway in Canadian waters with 8 crewmembers transiting from Whiting, IN to Tracey, Quebec, Canada pushing the barge ENDEAVOUR, loaded with asphalt, when the vessel experienced a loss of power. The vessel's port generator bearing failed causing the generator to spark and catch fire. The emergency stop was activated on the port generator causing the vessel to go dark for approximately 10 seconds resulting in a loss of maneuverability.
