(Charlie's ruling 2026-09-14: a trial is something a reader starts and that ends, not free access for everyone).
No card is asked for. Thirty days later the subscription ends and nothing is billed, unless you add a card on

What is free, what Professional adds, what nobody gets
- Free, on every vessel page, for everyone
- Name, identifiers, class and type, build year, documentation status, last inspected, the span of the record, and every count: inspections, deficiencies and how many have no recorded resolution, controls, tow units, recorded names, casualty investigations. Indexed and citable.
- Professional
- The lines behind each count, on all 226,477 vessel pages: every inspection, deficiency and resolution, control, tow unit, recorded name and casualty investigation, dated; and the documentation record. The ownership record on request.
- Nobody, at any price
- A score, a grade, a rating, a recommendation, or an opinion about any vessel.
What does not change
Maury publishes every US commercial vessel with a US Coast Guard inspection record, 226,477 hulls, with every inspection, deficiency, operational control and casualty recorded against each. The record runs from 1972 for every class, thin before 1985; casualty investigations from 1991, through 13 September 2026. 40,323 documented commercial hulls with no inspection record have a documentation-record page. Recreational vessels are never published; hulls filed without a class are held and not published.
No score, no grade, no verdict, at any price. Maury holds your email address and nothing else; one click deletes it. What Maury does not do.
