The design shall have regard to materials used in construction, the purpose for which the equipment is intended, the working conditions to which it will be subjected and the environmental conditions on board. PSCDO discovered section of refractory material missing from incinerator door.

THE CONDITION OF THE SHIP AND ITS EQUIPMENT SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO CONFORM WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE PRESENT REGULATIONS TO ENSURE THAT THE SHIP IN ALL ITS RESPECTS WILL REMAIN FIT TO PROCEED TO SEA WITHOUT DANGER TO THE SHIP OR PERSONS ON BOARD. THERE WAS A SOFT PATCH ON THE JACKET WATER LINE FOR THE MAIN DIESEL ENGINE.
