A food ration consisting of not less than 10,000 kj for each person the liferaft is permitted to accomodate. Rations shall be packed in permanently sealed metal containers od vacuum packed in a flexible material. PSCO found two food food rations to be not hermetically sealed resulting in the lifeboat to be missing the required amount of food rations. SOLAS 74 a (14)III/34 LSA 4.1.5.1.18
