No marine employer shall engage or employ any individual to serve as a crew member unless the individual passes a chemical test for dangerous drugs for that employer. Documentation provided by your company and your testing consortium indicates that several employees did not complete DOT pre-employment drug testing. Provide evidence that all current Marine employees have completed DOT approved pre-employment drug testing.

Marine employers shall establish programs for the chemical testing for dangerous drugs on a random basis of crewmembers on inspected vessels who occupy a position or preform the duties and functions of a position, required by the vessel's Certificate of Inspection. Documentation indicates that several employees are not enrolled in a DOT random drug testing program. Although this vessel has not been issued a COI at this time, it must comply with all inspection requirements as per 46 CFR 136.172. Provide proof that all current employees are enrolled in a DOT random testing program.
