Crew advised company of the problem on 04APR17; the new part was ordered and message was returned to the vessel that the part is estimated to arrive in 45 days. New part to repair the rupture disc is now 24 days overdue. Compromised rupture disc was not notified to Flag or Class.

Portable tanks shall not be filled or discharged while they remain on board. The portable tank containing iso-butane on the port side of the vessel is hard piped into the vessel’s cargo system. This allows the portable tank to be filled and discharged in a similar manner to a deck tank. IMDG Code 4.2.2.7.4
