All owners and operators of an existing towing vessel must have a valid COI prior to the specified phase-in period. By July 20, 2020, all owners or managing operators of more than one existing towing vessels were required to have valid COIs on at least 50% of their towing vessels. This vessel has not obtained a valid COI required by the phase-in periods. Vessel must submit a CG-3752, Application for Marine Inspection and complete an initial certification inspection prior to conducting any towing operations outside of approved worksites. This includes transit to and from worksites.
