In addition, it shall be provided with alarm arrangements to ensure that any discharge of oily mixtures is automatically stopped when the oil content of the effluent exceeds 15 ppm. In considering the design of the equipment and approvals, the Administration shall have regard to the specification recommended by the organization. 0611-Lifeboat Inventory-All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requirements of the code. The normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of: A food ration...totalling not less than 10,000 kj for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate; these rations shall be kept in airtight packaging. PSCO observed food ration to have broken airtight seal. Replace prior to departure.

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted proper documentation from vessel stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel had 12 additional 10,000kJ food rations stored in the citadel, provided inventory list and photo showing additional rations.

9900-Safety in General-Ship shall be designed, constructed and maintained in compliance with the structural, mechanical and electrical requirements of a classification society. PSCO observed soft patch on the reefer refrigeration lines prior to the expansion valve. Affix permanent repairs.
