The showers and eyewash shall be operable in all ambient conditions. The water supply for the decontamination showers and eyewash stations was isolated rendering it inoperable despite the system being built to be in constant circulation.

The function of fixed fire detection and fire alarm systems shall be periodically tested to the satisfaction of the administration by means of equipment producing hot air at the appropriate temperature. The PSCO identified that the vessel's crew members are testing heat detectors onboard with an incorrect testing apparatus per the vessel's safety management system.

0699 - OTHER - Illustrations & instructions in appropriate languages shall be posted in passenger cabins and displayed at muster stations and other passenger spaces to inform passengers of the method of donning lifejackets.
