The following vessels must have on board a properly installed, operational Coast Guard type-approved AIS Class A device: Self-propelled vessel of 65 feet or more in length, engaged in commercial service.
Vessels were able to seek up to a 5-year deviation from the AIS requirements when the vessel conducted only short voyages. Those vessels that were not previously subject to AIS carriage were required to install AIS no later than March 1, 2016.
The vessel does not have an installed AIS device on-board. Develop and submit a plan for the installation of AIS on-board.

Provide proposal for improving recovery of a passenger in a man overboard situations. Currently the operation of the davit is restrictive in operation of recovering a person. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. 46 CFR 184.710. The first-aid kit on board was not complete and easily accesible.
