Electrical installations shall be such that the safety of passengers, crew and ship from electrical hazards will be ensured. The Administration shall take appropriate steps to ensure uniformity in the implementation and application of the provisions of this part in respect of electrical installations. Multiple electrical boxes on weatherdeck and house exterior are open to the elements with doors falling off or not attached with cable penetrations not sealed or termintating properly.

1410-Propulsion Main Engine- The machinery shall be of construction adequate for the service for which they are intended. During inbound transit, vessel suffered loss of prop. Main engine shutdown due to overspeed alarm. Alarm was cleared and vessel was able to continue transit using local control on main engine. Tech and class must attest proper repairs, approved by USCG. SOLAS(2004Cons)II-1/26.1
