PSCO observed that ship crew was refilling plastic water jugs every four months for lifeboat water rations. Provide clarification from certificate issueing authority attesting to proper water stowage for lifeboat.

All ships 300 gross tonnage and upwards engaged on international voyages shall be fitted with an automatic identification system (AIS). Ships fitted with AIS shall maintain AIS in operation at all times. The vessel's AIS is experiencing intermittent operational outages.
