The company and the ship shall comply with the requirements of the Int'l Safety Management Code.
Company should identify technical systems which the operational failure of may create a hazardous situation. MI observed that the limit switch on the rescue boat davit was not installed properly such that it engaged every time the boat was lowered and could not be raised. Ship's crew was able to adjust the limit switch and MI observed proper operation.
