Cargo ships shall carry: in addition, one or more inflatable or rigid life rafts, complying with the requirements of section 4.2 or 4.3 of the Code, of a mass of less than 185 kg and stowed in a position providing for easy side-to-side transfer at a single open deck level, and of such aggregate capacity as will accommodate the total number of persons on board. If the life raft or life rafts are not of a mass of less than 185 kg and stowed in a position providing for easy side to side transfer at a single open deck level, the total capacity available on each side shall be sufficient to accommodate the total number of persons on board. Fire Fighting › Structural - A Class Divisions › Corridors

The purpose of this regulation is to contain a fire in the space of origin. Thermal insulation of boundaries shall have due regard to the fire risk to the space and adjacent spaces. SFP boundary has a hole do to the hinge removed on the door, causing corner of door to smash into thermal boundary bulkhead next to the provisions room. 74 SOLAS 2014 II-2/9.1.2.

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report and photos from NKK stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel repaired door hinge and A60 insulation.

Lifesaving › Rescue Boat › Propulsion Engine

Maintenance, testing and inspections of lifesaving appliances shall be carried out based on the guidelines developed by the organization having due regard to ensuring reliablility of such appliances. Keel cooler screw/plug on starboard side lifeboat/rescue boat is missing, crew covered opening with epoxy type material which was not a Class approved repair. 74 SOLAS 2014 III/20.3.1
