Arrangements shall be provided to enable the pilot to embark and disembark safely on either side of the ship. Vessel was observed with a pilot ladder arrangement that was considered unsafe by the attending pilot.
Condition: Design Flaw
Action required: 17 - Rectify deficiencies prior to departure

Resolution: Vessel moved the ladder so that the rungs would not be blocked by the structure. Class approved the change and sent a class report.
