The manufacturer's instruction, approved by ABS, for the exhaust gas cleaning system (EGCS)states the vessel shall use compliant fuel instead of the EGCS while in the United States. The vessel is currently using fuel with 2.56% sulphur content through the EGCS in contradiction to the manual. MARPOL VI/5.5
