The Coast Guard will normally allow a vessel that cannot practicably meet the requirements of 33 CFR 151.2025(a)(1) of this subpart, because its installed BWMS is inoperable, to employ one of the other ballast water management methods listed in 33CFR151.2025(a) of this subpart. Vessel’s BWTS required by 33 CFR 151.2035 reported as inoperable. Prior to discharging untreated ballast water in the Houston Galveston COTP Zone, conduct an exchange greater than 200 nautical miles from any shore. Contact the Cognizant COTP prior to any subsequent untreated discharges of ballast water in the waters of the United States.

Any ship of 10,000 GT and above shall be fitted with oil filtering equipment complying with paragraph 7. As per IOPP the vessel has fitted a oil Content meter approved accordance with Res. MEPC 107(49). Data log on LCD display is not working as designed. Time and date stamp is not accurate. MARPOL ANNEX I Regulation 14
