In tankers, electrical equipment, cables, and wiring shall not be installed in hazardous locations unless it conforms with the standards not inferior to the organization. Electrical conduit boxes at Frames 85/86, 57/58, and 53/54 found with conduits wasted through exposing wiring. Holes present a pathway for hazardous vapours to travel into the house/accommodation space. COC Not issued.

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provision of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all aspects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. Upper walkway and work area between port and stbd manifolds, mid ship, found with severe wastage in structural support members. Supporting flanges and webs found disintegrated and/or fractured due to significant corrosion. See the following specific locations.
Frames 76, 77, 78, steam line support beam upper flange wasted through.
Frames 55/56 through 61, raised walkway/work area supporting longitudinal and transverse members wasted through.
08 columns at frames 45, 53, 56, 57, 58 (painted by crew) holed through due to wastage.
Deck longitudinal between frames 58/59 found "paper thin."
