At all times during a vessels voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. Vessel reported the rescue boat engine starter was discovered to be inoperable during routine checks. New part is on order and will arrive at vessel's next port of call in Antwerp, Belgium on 11Sep2025. Rectification is contingent upon successful installation and in person survey by class.

Instructions for on-board maintenance of life-saving appliances shall be easily understood, illustrated wherever possible, and, as appropriate shall include for each appliance: log for records and maintenance. Rescue boat was found to have unauthorized repairs done to the underside of the rescue boat where it rests in the cradle. Whenever defect is discovered, the master or owner of the ship shall report at the earliest opportunity to the Administration or Recognized Organization (RO). Back in 2020 the vessel reported to the operator of a clutch issue (not aligned) to the port side anchor windless, but never reported it to the Administration or RO. In addition the vessel just came out of dry-dock in June 2022 with the clutch not aligned, there were also several anchor chain links and chain stopper pins, that were known to be bent but not repair or replaced while in the dry-dock.
