When transporting a bulk cargo which is liable to emit a toxic or flammable gas or cause oxygen in the space. instrument for measuring the concentration of gas or oxygen shall be provided together with detailed instructions for its use. Crew could not properly calibrate the oxygen sensor on the nitrogen generator. Prove proper operation prior to carrying those cargos required to be inerted or padded. 74 SOLAS (14) CH. IV REG 3
