Each tankship with a VCS must be fitted with a pressure sensing device that measures the pressure in the main vapor collection line having a high pressure alarm that gives an audible and visible warning when the pressure sensing device measures a high pressure of not more than 90% of the lowest pressure relief valve setting in the cargo tank venting system. It gave a visible warning but no audible alarm. Rectify prior to carrying/transferring cargo that requires use of the VCS system.
