A chemical tanker shall comply with the requirements of the international bulk chemical code. Samples which have to be kept on board shall be stowed in a designated space situated in the cargo area. The stowage space shall be equipped with adequate ventilation arrangements. Installed ventilation for sample locker will not function.

All Life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requiremnets of the code. A food ration totalling not less than 10,000KJ for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate; these rations shall be kept in airtight packaging. PSCO observed 15 food rations of which the air tight performance was compromised on the packaging. 07 identified defective on the port lifeboat, 08 identified on the starboard lifeboat.
