PSCO observed approximately 05 lights in cargo compressor room with improperly installed wiring and missing ground wires. Additionally all remote valve indicators are installed in such a way that operation of cargo valves causes damage to indicator wiring. PSCO observed broken packing nuts and damaged wiring on 50% of cargo valves.

On ships carrying flammable or toxic products or both, a water spray system for cooling fire prevention and crew protection should be installed to cover exposed cargo tank domes and any exposed parts of cargo tanks.
