All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requirements of the Code. The lifeboat engine, transmission and engine accessories shall be enclosed in a fire-retardant casing or other suitable arrangements providing similar protection. PSCOs observed that lifeboat 16, 20, and 22 were overfilled with fuel to the point in which any list or movement caused fuel to leak into the passenger area and onto their perspective seats.

All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requirements of the Code. All lifeboats shall be properly constructed. PSCOs observed lifeboat #16 to be missing hardware where the fuel vent attaches to the fuel tank. This exasperated a concurrent fuel tank leak caused by the fuel tank being overfilled.

A fixed Fire-extinguishing system, required by this chapter shall comply with the provisions of the Fire Safety Systems Code. PSCOs observed a high-pressure water mist ampule which was of a higher temperature rating than what is reflected in the ship's plan. The ampule was located on Deck 15, Sunset Bar Pantry.

Escape doors from public spaces that are normally latched shall be fitted with a means of quick release. Such means shall consist f a door-latching mechanism incorporating a device that releases the latch upon the application of a force in the direction of the escape flow. Escape routes from spa reception, spa nail bar, and fitness center have door latching mechanisms that do not release upon application of force.
