The condition of the ship and it equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons onboard. PSCO observed the voyage data recorder to be inoperable.

Resolution: Class report submitted attesting to the satisfactory repair of VDR. Surveyor confirmed that vessel's VDR equipment was installed tested and operating satisfactorily.

Equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of Annex VI. The exhaust gas cleaning system's display screen was reported to not function properly. The vessel is not authorized to run the exhaust gas scrubber while in the U.S. until the display is repaired. MARPOL 73/79 VI/5.5, 50AC.
