Wastage found in numerous locations on deck including: 1) 4,5,6, and slop gear boxes on the crossover valves 2) ODME pressure differential housing box and wire connection (on deck) 3) Multiple in sequence cable brackets (midships FWD of house) for gas sampling lines missing or wasted 4) Multiple steam drain lines on port side in way of slop tanks wasted 5) Support brackets for the port and STBD king post cargo pump trips.
Action required: 50 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 30 days

74SOLAS(14)CH II-1 REG 27.7 - 17ac - Where risk from overspeeding of machinery exist, means shall be provided to ensure that the safe speed is not exceeded. Main diesel engine would not respond appropriately to bells ordered. Engine was given dead slo bell and responded with critical speed of 52 RPMs; normal dead slow speed for vessel is 32RPMs.
