Hatch cover bearing pads with mating surface were found corroded, rough, uneven, and quick acting cleats hinged head/cam were frozen/jammed, rubber washer were cracked/over-compressed, steel washer plates are corroded, thinned down, or missing, clear nut frozen, not recently greased or adjusted.
