Cargo pump rooms shall be mechanically ventilated and discharges from exhaust fans to a safe place shall have sufficient capactiy and 20 or more air changes of space per hour. PSCO observed the starboard fan was inoperable. Vessel needs to ensure that 20 or more air exchanges can be conducted.

Resolution: Coupling on pump room fan No. 2 (starboard) was found to be wasted. Ships crew changed out coupling with replacement spare and fan No.2 was operationally tested in the presence of the undersign Surveyor to DNV with results satisfactory.

A discrepancy was found on the IOPP Form B with regards to the ballast water capacity. The calculated total was 630 cubic meters different than what was indicated on the form.
Condition: Invalid
Action required: 40 - Rectify deficiencies prior to next US port after sailing foreign
Resolved 24 August 2017
Resolution: Upon further review of the Ballast Water Capacity, it was found that the total numbers did add up, making the document correct.
