In addition, it should meet requirements outlined in the referenced regulation. PSCOs observed that there was no automatic or manual firefighting extinguishing system in the vicinity of the deep fat cooking equipment.

PSCO observed excessive leaking of f/o and l/o from M/E collecting in port bilge. Additionally, PSCO observed excessive saturation of lagging/insulation of the associated piping of f/o booster unit for m/e as well as HFO#1 and HFO#2 separator pumps (#1 had plastic bag wrapped around piping to collect residues) constituting a major fire hazard.
