Crew members shall be trained to be familiar with the operation of any fire fighting appliances they may be called upon to use. During a fire drill, crew members were unfamiliar in the proper donning of the firefighters outfits and the proper operation of SCBAs. Most notably, crew members were unable to achieve a seal on their masks and were not receiving supplied air. The crew was given a day to train and a second drill was held where the crew was able to satisfactorily don gear and operate SCBAs.
