Satisfactory means ( in the form of guard rails, lifelines, gangways, or under deck passages, etc) shall be provided for the protection of the crew...to get to all other parts used in the neccessary work of the ship. Catwalk forward of bay 02 is missing 02 guard rails. Deck plates on catwalks both forward and aft of bay 2 are extremely worn and may no longer be structurally sound presenting a hazard to workers. Resolution: RECIEVED CLASS SURVEY STATING IDEAS IDENTIFIED BY CLASS WERE REPAIRED AND APPROVED BY VISTING CLASS SURVEYOR. DUE TO SIMILAR AREAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES CLASS ISSUED A CONDITON OF AUTHORITY TO OVERSEE FUTURE REPAIR OF THESE AREAS.

All lifeboats shall have rigid hulls and shall be capable of maintaining positive stability when in an upright position in calm water and loaded with full complememt of persons and equipment holed in any one location below the waterline, assuming no loss of buoyancy material and no other damage. Starboard side lifeboat port aft corner has damage to gel coat through to fiber glass with a crack and damage continues to inside gel coat of inside port aft corner of lifeboat. 74 SOLAS (14 Cons.)/ CH III Reg.34 & 2017 LSA / CH IV Reg. 4.4.1.1. Resolution: Inspected by DNV/GL surveyor with report # 1164916 stating:reported that the crack on the aft port corner was ground out. New fiberglass was laminated, fared and new paint applied. Inspector reviewed with no abnormaulity present.
