For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be meet: .2 fire-extinguishing appliances shall be readily available. PSCO observed two missing fire hoses from fire stations #31, and #39.

Resolution: Vessel had sufficient spares of approved fire-fighting hoses. Made replacements.

For a period of 36H, emergency lighting: .1 at every muster and embarkation station and over the sides as required by regulation III/4 and III/16.7, .2 in alleyways, stairways, and exits giving access to the muster and embarkation stations as required by regulation III/11.5. PSCO observed eight emergency lights inoperable.

This main source of electrical power shall consist of atleast two generator sets. PSCO observed only #1 generator operational. #2 and #3 generator were down for maintenance. Prior to departure PSCO observed #1 and #3 generators operational. 74 SOLAS (14) II-2/41.1.1

Resolution: Pre-lube pump on generator #3 was serviced and generator #3 was put back online w/ #1. #2 generator is also due to be back on line later today after cleaning heat exchanger plates. The crew was made aware of the requirement to have 2 generators on line.
