The 15 ppm oil content meter (OCM) should record the date time and alarm status of the 15ppm separator. The recording device should also store data for at least 18 months and display or print a record for inspection. The vessels crew was unable to provide records for the last 18 months of data. Vessel shall have the OCM manufacturer technician rep. provide records for the last 18 months.

Resolution: Vessel provided tech rep from OWS/OCM manufacturer who attested to proper operation of OWS/OCM and provided 18 months of data. In addition the tech rep provided training to cheif engineer and crew on the proper operation of both devices.

During review of the ORB the PSCO noted inconsistencies reguarding the sludge tank recorded weekly retention soundings (ORB Code 11.3) on Jan 22, 2012 when conpaired to the mehtods of disposal. Collectively a total of 2.57 cubic meters was not being record. PSC requestes SMS audit and a copy of the audit to be provided to USCG, FLAG, and Company with in 30 Days.
