The purpose of this regulation is to maintain and monitor the effectivness pf the fire safey measures the ship is provided with. for this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met; fire protection systems and fire fighting systems and appliances shall be maintained and ready for use. / PSCO observed 10 CO2 cylinders with cotter pins in stalled on manual side of system 74SOLAS(09) II-2/Reg 14.1.1

The machinery, boilers and other pressure vessels, associated piping systems and fittings shall be a design and construction adequate for the service for which they are intended. Vessels cooling jacket bolts are improperly installed with additional washers which is not in accordance with manufacturers recommendations. 74SOLAS(04)II-1/26.1

Before a ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. Ships rescue boat had active leaking from drive shaft housing and not providing sufficient cooling to the outboard motor. 74SOLAS(20)III/20.2
