The inert gas system shall be capable of inerting, purging and gas-freeing empty tanks and maintaining the atmosphere in cargo tanks with the required oxygen content. PSCO dicovered the IGG system to be inoperable. PSCO could not verify operation and could not conduct test alarms/shutdowns.

The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials or flammable liquids. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO discovered F/O leak on #3 SSDG Filter assembly.

PSCO observed that the ship's crew conducted a tank washing after discharing Fatty Acid Methyl Ester. The vessel is currently loading Low Sulphur Diesel. MARPOL Annex II/13.4.1 40a
