Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. Liferaft stations, port and starbaord found arranged so that two hyrostatic release units must activate in order to launch either liferaft. Vessel provided diagrams showing proper installation, and confirming improper installation as observed.

Machinery shall be of a design and construction adequate for the service and shall be so installed and protected as to reduce the danger to persons on board. PSCO observed crank case leaking at approximately 50 drops per minute into a bucket painted to match the surrounding equipment. 74 SOLAS (14) II-1/26.1

Resolved 3 October 2017
Resolution: Resolved prior to the departure of the PSC team. Crew removed the bucket and replaced a leaking gasket.
