Means shall be provided whereby normal operation of propulsion machinery can be sustained or restored even though one of the essential auxiliaries become inoperative with special consideration given to the malfunctioning of the fuel oil supply system for the engine. Due to contaminated fuel, the main propulsion engine suffered aa casualty on 27JUL19. Prior to departing the anchorage of Pascagoula, complete repairs to main engine as recommended by technincian survey report dtd 08AUG19 to include repalcing fuel pump suction valves on all units and top cover on unit #6. Upon completion of repair, class shall attend vessel to verifiy repairs and deliver statement of fact stating main engine is fully operational and in compliance with all certtificates. 74SOLAS(2014) II-I/26.3.4
