Each fire drill shall include: starting of a fire pump, using at least two required jets of water to show that the system is in proper working order and checking of fireman’s outfit and other personal rescue equipment. During initial fire drill, PSCO observed that the crew did not energize the fire pump and did not demonstrate two required jets of water. In addition, one out of the two firefighter’s self-contained breathing apparatus was not properly donned and checked before entering the space. The SCBA was loosely fit around the firefighter’s face and could not provide a proper seal. PSCO informed Captain of the two deficient items and allowed 10 minutes for crew training before conducting the fire drill again.
