06199- Tank overfill alarm is required to activate a visual and audible alarm so that it can be seen and heard on the vessel where cargo transfered is controled and in the cargo deck area. PSCO observed while in deck area testing overfill alarm visual alarm could not be seen. 46 CFR 39.2007(d)(3).

06199- If the oxygen content of the Inert Gas exceeds 5% by volume, Immediate action shall be taken to improve the gas quality unless the quality improves. All operations in those cargo tanks to which Inert Gas is being supplied shall be suspenede so as to avoid air being drawn into the tanks. the regulation valve if fitted shall close and the off specification gas shall be vented to the atmosphere. Ve3ssel was able to prove propper operation of the IGG but PSCO observed after any emergency shutdown test was preformed the IGG was unable to be restarted unless the crew recalibrated the gas regulating valve. Vessel will repair/ replace as to prove 100% proper operation of the IGG. 74SOLAS II/2 Reg 16.3.3.3
