Cargo ships shall carry one or more totally inclosed lifeboats complying with the requirements of section 4.6 of the code of such aggregate capacity of each side of the ship. 4.6 of the LSA Code states that totally enclosed lifeboats shall comply with the requirements of section 4.4: General Requirements for Lifeboats. Vessel did not meet regulation due to food rations not totalling 10,000 Kj for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate. 76 SOLAS (20) III/31.1.1.1
