001 [07123] Fire detection systems shall be kept in good order so as to ensure their required performance if a fire occurs. PSCO observed an inoperable flame detector in the vicinity of the fuel oil purifiers and ships service generators. There are only two smoke detectors in the vicinity of the fuel oil purifiers and generators. Both detectors must be activated in order to actuate the fire control system. The fire control system is not currently providing protection for the space.
