part of the evacuation paths shall be not less than 900 mm for passenger craft and 700 mm for cargo craft. This width maybe reduced to 600 mm for corridors, doorways and
stairways serving spaces where persons are not normally
employed. There shall be no protrusions in evacuation paths
which could cause injury, ensnare clothing, damage
lifejackets or restrict evacuation of disabled persons.
Requirements of this paragraph do not apply to aisles (fore-aft passageways separating seating areas) or to spaces
between adjacent rows of seats. However, the width of aisles
and the seat pitch shall be such as to allow the craft to comply with the provisions of 4.8. Observed obstructed means of escape in MVZ4/Deck 4 Crew stairs, Perfum & Liquor
Room, and Laundry Room.

Control handles shall be provided at each side of the bulkhead at a minimum height of 1.6m above the floor and shall be so arranged as to enable persons passing through the doorway to hold both handles in the open position without being able to set the power closing mechanism in operation accidentally. The direction of movement of the handles in opening and closing the door shall be in the direction of door movement and shall be clearly indicated. PSCOs observed that after activating one of the handles for the watertight door 401 it failed to operated and close.

PSCO observed a garbage bin located in the theater changing area by door 05105 that was being used incorrectly by having food, plastic, metal, and paper waste products when is should only have had paper products.
