Spaces are classified according to their fire risk. as shown in categories (1) to (14). The Bosn Store is a large category 13 space with only one means of escape. PSCOs observed this space being used as a different category than intended by have an office desk where the store manager works daily. PSCOs also observed another desk within the Incinerator Room which is a category 12 space. 74SOLAS20 II-2/9.2.2.3.2.2

The means of escape, including stairways and exits shall be marked by lighting or photoluminescent strip indicators placed not more than 300mm above the desk at all points of the escape route including angels and intersections. The marking must enable passengers/crew to identify the outes of escape and readily identify the escape exits. PSCO observed no low location lighting in and around deck 16 central passenger stairway tower. 74SOLAS20 II-2/13.3.2.5.1
