The company should establish procedures to ensure that the ship is mantained in conformity with the provisions of the relevant rules and regulations and with additional requierements which must be establish by the company. PSCO observed empty beer cans, plus one and a half cases of beer in the Master’s cabin. When prompted, the Master was unable to communicate the Companies’ Drug & Alcohol policy, however it made it seem as though alcohol is not allowed in staterooms. Company SMS Chapter 7.7.3.4 strictly prohibits the possession and consumption on board when the ship is in port. 74SOLAS(2020) IX/3.1 ISM Code 10.1

DOORS AND DOOR FRAMES IN A CLASS A DIVISION SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF STEEL. DOORS IN B CLASS DIVISIONS SHALL BE NON-COMBUSTIBLE. PSCO OBSERVED AN "A-0" DOOR TO ENGINE CHANGING ROOM AND "B-0" DOOR IN MAIN STAIRWAY ON B DECK WERE FOUND HOLED THROUGH. ADDITIONALLY, EMERGENCY ESCAPE IN LOWER ENGINE ROOM IS UNABLE TO LATCH. 74 SOLAS (04) II-2/9.4.2.1
