Not less than two lifebuoys shall be provided with lifebuoy self-activating smoke signals complying with the requirements of paragraph 2.1.3 of the code and be capable of quick release from the navigation bridge. All access openings in bulkheads shall be fitted with doors that are weather tight when closed and shall consist of gaskets and clamping devices permanently attached to bulkheads or to the doors themselves, and the doors shall be so arranged that they can be operated from both sides of the bulkhead.
