"Oil fuel pipes, which if damaged, would allow oil to escape from a... Daily service tank having a capacity of 500l and above situated above the double bottom, shall be fitted with a cock or valve directly on the tank capable of being closed from a safe position outside the space". Four attempts were made to operate the quick-closing valve located on the emergency generator day tank. The valve appeared seized in all attempts to operate.

PSCO's received notice that vessel 01 generator was rendered in-operational due to damage on cylinder #4 cam-shaft.
