2120 Garbage Management Plan Everyship ship of 100 gross tons and above shally carry a garbage management plan which the crew shall follow. The garbage plan is not being followed; mixed garbage was found througout the ship. the garbage management plan states that expired pyrotechnics must be disposed ashore, ship is storing expire pyrotechnics with no plans for diposal. Ship is also storing empty bottles not in accordance to garbage management plan.
Action required: 40 - Rectify deficiencies prior to next US port after sailing foreign

Resolution: Vessel provided documentation of disposal of pyro and other garbage IAW their approved plan.
