07106 - FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS SHALL BE MAINTAINED READY FOR USE. PSCO REQUESTED THE ENGINEERS TEST TEH SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE ENGINE CONTROL ROOM. THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEEER TRIED TO TEST THE SMOKE DETECTOR TWICE WITH NO RESPONSE. THE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER THEN STATED THE BRIDGE HAD TO ACTIVATE THE SYSTEM BECAUSE THEY KEPT THE SYSTEM DEACTIVATED DUE TO CONDITIONS IN THE ENGINE ROOM CAUSING THE DETECTORS TO ACTIVATE.
