PSCO observed excessive leaks on cylinders 1, 2, 5, 6 drain lines and crankcase doors. 74 SOLAS I/11(a)

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report / proper documentation from nNKK stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel took adequate measures to ensure tightness of seal.

PSCO observed inadequate guards for M/E turning gear attached to flywheel. 74 SOLAS II-1/26.1

Unless expressly provided otherwise, launching and embarkation apliances complying with the requirements of section 6.1 of the code shall be provided for all survival craft. Where davit arms are recovered by power, safety devices shall be fitted which will automatically cut off power before the davit arms reach the stops in order to prevent overstressing the faces or davits, unless the motor is designed to prevent such stressing. PSCO observed Port Side davit limit switch deteriorated. 74 SOLAS III/16.1 LSA VI/6.1.2.7

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report / proper documentation from NKK stating the deficiency was rectified. nVessel installed new olding bracket and davit was tested successfully.

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report / proper documentation from NKK stating the deficiency was rectified. Vessel garbage record book corrections were made and Company issue new circular to fleet to prevent re-occurance.
