74SOLAS (09 con) Ch II-2 Reg 5.5.3.1: The inert gas system shall be capable of inerting, purging, and gas-freeing empty tanks and maintaining the atmosphere in cargo tanks with the rquired oxygen content. The inert gas system is currently inoperable. Vessel is forbidden to carry cargos which must be inerted while deficiency is outstanding.
